So here is the scuba diving part of our vacation in Indonesia! Scuba diving has come to be a kind of addiction for us – we just can’t get enough. We also did our Advanced Open Water Course at 7 Seas International on Gili Air, and had so much fun during the course (some studying, but mostly practical in water stuff).
Went on the downhill cycling trip again with Bali Eco Bike Tour. Had so much fun, and dare I say it was even double the fun the second time round… Enjoy!
The first time we had so much fun, we decided to do it AGAIN, the following year… (this time round it was also more of a family vacay, so a rather central place needed to be considered, a middle ground between Korea and Australia). Bali and some other (new to us) surrounding islands were on the list. The itinerary looked like this: Kuta, Ubud (Bali), Ceningan, Lembongan, Gili Air, and finally Lombok.
Bali (Kuta & Ubud)
This time around, we didn’t spend too much time and effort in Kuta, seeing as though we did all the ‘main stuff’ the previous year (Uluwatu, Tanah Lot…) – we just chilled. This is also an area I’d gladly skip the next time around, if ever there be such a time again… We had a nice stay at Adi Dharma cottages though. They are very centrally located, and easy walking distance to everything (although the music from clubs can be a bit of a bother to some folks). Continue reading
I am finally finished with this amazing project. Hard work, but it pays of at the end to relive those awesome memories…

We decided on Indonesia as the destination for our summer holiday, more specifically Bali and Gili Trawangan. We only had two weeks (3-17 August), so we wanted to make the most of it. With our previous holiday in Vietnam, we couldn’t fit in any scuba diving, so we planned to make up for that on this trip!
Our itinerary looked like this: start in Kuta – Ubud – Tulamben – Padangbai- Gili Trawangan – Sanur.
What follows in this post is our general feeling of each place, what we did, what we saw, where we stayed, how much we payed for some activities (for those that wants a general idea when budgeting), any tips we can give, and whatever else I feel like adding…
(What should also be kept in mind while reading this – we went in August, i.e. MAIN tourist season…) Continue reading
