SWING’IN it in Singapore

Our short trip to Singapore formed part of our Malaysian and Australian trip en route back home to sunny S.A.

Singapore was all in all a very interesting experience (also very expensive!). The ‘old’ vs ‘new’ that you encounter is intriguing and the diversity of the people living and working in SP is fascinating. One thing about SP: everything works. It’s clean. It’s organized. Public transport is outstanding and there’s always a buzzing atmosphere…

Clarke Quay, the place where the nightlife happens.

At the Botanical Garden.

This Orchid Garden has (apparently) the largest collection of orchids in the world.

Walking around Little India with its old buildings and the faint aromatic smell of herbs and curry in the air…

Raffles Hotel.

The famous (very expensive) Singapore Sling

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Apparently it’s been the most expensive hotel in the world to build.

Beautiful views from the skypark (on top of Marina Bay Sands).

Marina Bay Sands infinity pool.

The beautiful Jurong Bird Park.

Taking the lift up to luge down-hill again on Sentosa Island.

Wavehouse on Sentosa.

The famous Merlion

We only stayed in Singapore for 3 nights, which (in our case) was more than enough. We had a very nice time there and would recommend it to anyone on a stop-over flight.
