Thailand 2010 (Koh Chang, Koh Mak & Koh Kood)

Thailand was our first taste of South East Asia, and man, was it SCHWEEEEET!

Our first stop on our Thailand adventure was the island Koh Chang.

These shots were taken at Remark Puzi Huts; beautiful sunrises each morning!

This was our first snorkeling trip.

The first resort we stayed at was Remark Puzi Huts, at Bang Bao. Accommodations was basic, but good enough (not spending much time there!). The resort is located right next to the pier, with its HUNDREDS shops lining the pier as you walk to hop on the boats to go island hopping, snorkeling or SCUBA diving. PS no beach here… walk onwards – following the road- and you’ll see

Our next stop was the lovely Siam Bay Resort. It’s located on the Kai Bae Beach. It has a lovely beach; you can go kayaking, snorkeling, para-sailing and much more. We loved the fresh seafood buffet that Siam Bay dished out, out of this world!

Koh Chang has a myriad of activities and scenery to preoccupy any- and everyone… Waterfalls, scooter hire, bars, market areas, restaurants, snorkeling, scuba diving, the list goes on!

Next stop was the small but charming island of Koh Mak.

We stayed at Koh Mak Cococape Resort. Very nice resort, amazing infinity pool, friendly people and a beautiful pier. If you walk past the resort along the sea you arrive on some nice long stretches of white sand beaches fringed with palm trees.

Next (and final) stop on our Thai adventure was the island of Koh Kood. Here we stayed at the Away Resort. Absolutely beautiful. Period. That’s what Away Resort is. All accommodations are against a hill facing the sea. Koh Kood is a much more laid back island. If you’re looking for a huge full moon party, you’re certainly in the wrong place. This place is a more “kick out your sandals, sit back with a cold one” place. In need of some R&R? I highly recommend this place.

If you feel like being a bit more active that’s also possible. Away Resort sports the largest activity and dive center on the island. Take some kayaks and paddle up the lagoon and check out the mangroves. Go scuba diving or snorkeling. Hire a scooter and do some sightseeing. Get some gear and go fishing. The options are there…

Koh Kood Away Resort was paradise. Looking for a peaceful and relaxed environment, look no further.

Our Thailand adventure was just the starting point. We had a taste, but now we want more! You haven’t seen the last of us yet.
